Family Reunion FAQ

 

General Information

When and where is the family reunion?

  • The family reunion will be held June 19th-22nd, 2025 in Houston,TX.

What is the price per person?

  • The cost per adult is [$185], and the cost per child (ages 3–9) is [$170].

How were the age groups chosen for children and adults?

  • The age groups were chosen based on the age categories used at Disney parks. Disney categorizes children as ages 3–9 and adults as 10 and older for ticket pricing and meal plans. We used a similar structure to keep pricing fair and consistent, ensuring that younger children receive a reduced rate while older kids and adults are counted at the standard price.

What is included in the price per person?

  • The price per person includes entry to three main events: the Meet-and-Greet, the Family BBQ, and the Banquet. Each event will have food provided, so you won’t have to worry about meals during those times. Additionally, each registered attendee will receive a family reunion t-shirt and a swag bag filled with fun keepsakes to remember the occasion! 🎉

Is there a deadline to register and pay?

  • Yes, all payments must be received by May 19th, 2025.

Can I pay in installments?

  • Yes, but deposits and Pay-in-4 are no longer available. To make it easier, we’re offering a two-payment option: Half due in April and half due in May (via invoice). Or, you can pay in full now.

Is there a family t-shirt included in the price?

  • Yes! The t-shirt is included. 

Can family members who are not attending order a shirt?

  • Yes! Family members who are unable to attend can still order a reunion t-shirt. You will be paying for the price of the shirt plus shipping. If you are interested please send an email to cooperhoustonboard@gmail.com by July 19th, 2025 with your name, shirt size, and address. 

 

Travel & Accommodations

Is there a hotel block reserved for the family?

  • Yes, we have a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency Houston/Galleria for a discounted rate. Please book through the below link to receive the discount.

  • The discount will not apply to any dates booked outside of June 19th-22nd, 2025.

Which airport should I fly into?

  • The closest airport is William P. Hobby Airport (HOU). It is 26 minutes away from the hotel, whereas IAH is 33 minutes away.

Does the hotel offer an airport shuttle?

  • No. Transportation options include Uber/Lyft, rental cars, public transit, etc.

Is there free parking at the hotel or event venue?

  • No, the hotel does not offer free parking. There will be valet available that is $46 a night. However, because the hotel is walking distance from the Galleria Mall you are able to park your car there.

  • There will be free parking at all the events.

What is the itinerary for the reunion?

Are children welcome?

  • Yes! There will be activities for all ages.

Will there be group outings or optional excursions?

  • Yes! For those 21 and over, we’ve put together a secret schedule for anyone looking to experience Houston’s nightlife. If you're interested in joining, please sign up here. 🍹🎶

  • For family members of all ages, we will also provide a list of fun things to do around Houston, including museums, parks, and local attractions, so everyone can make the most of their visit!

 

Food & Dietary Restrictions

Will food be provided?

  • Yes, meals are included in the registration price.

Are vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options available?

  • We did our best to make the most of our budget, but due to inflation and other circumstances, we were unable to include dedicated vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free meal options. However, at each event, there will be a variety of side dishes that should accommodate most dietary needs. We appreciate your understanding and recommend bringing any additional food you may need to ensure you have a full meal. 💙

What should I bring?

Recommended items include the below:

  • Cowboy hat & boots (embrace the Texas spirit!)

  • Lightweight, breathable clothing (T-shirts, shorts, sundresses – Houston can be hot and humid)

  • A nice outfit or dress for the banquet

  • Comfortable shoes for walking and exploring

  • Swimsuit (hotel pool or water activities)

  • Sunglasses & a hat (for sun protection)

  • Sunscreen (a must for the Texas sun)

  • Bug spray (especially for outdoor gatherings)

  • Personal toiletries (toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo, etc.)

  • Medications

  • Phone charger & portable power bank

  • Camera or smartphone (for capturing special moments)

  • Small backpack or tote bag (to carry essentials)

Will there be a photographer?

  • Yes, family photos will be taken on June 21st, and details on purchasing pictures will be provided later.
